Bacon Night at The Harris Grill
Ok, so... due to my posting of the Thanksgiving day bacony-goodness
, I was alerted to the Flickr BACON group
, a group dedicated to pictures of bacon.
How freakin' awesome is that? I mean, is that not like the best idea ever?
Well, actually no. No it's not. The best idea ever is Bacon Night
held at a
cafe in Pittsburgh. (Although, credit where credit's due -- I wouldn't have found out about it without the Bacon group.)
"Yeah, so... The Harris Grill on Ellsworth is now doing this promotion... Tuesday nights, free bacon at the bar. No, really, I'm serious. Free bacon. In a basket. They keep bringing it."
Holy crap. No wonder Pittsburgh is considered to be one of the best places to live in this country.

Hey, thanks for the shout out. That picture is among my most viewed pictures on flickr. Since there is no way to know where the views come from, I have no idea how many of those views might have come from here, but I appreciate it all the same.
My friend in the picture and I went there last night, actually brought more poeple with us. Harris does this appetizer, mini-burgers, so we thought, "Hey, you know what'd kill us quicker but also probably taste really good? The mini-burgers with a piece of the free bacon wrapped around it."
Yes, we are indeed two of the dumbest friggin' people in the world, but the staff seemed to think it was a brilliant idea... I had to stop at 3, but Brian, well... I think he hit double digits.
bacon-wrapped mini-burgers? That IS brilliant!
